Mr. Moses Kariuki, CPA
Moses is a seasoned career banker with over two decades of experience spanning professional accounting, external and internal auditing, business development, retail banking, and risk management. He joined Kingdom Bank in 2013 and assumed the Head of Risk and Compliance role in 2019, a role in which he has leveraged his diverse expertise to strengthen governance and operational resilience.
He began his professional journey at Ernst & Young (E&Y), one of the world’s leading consulting firms, where he gained foundational exposure to financial services. He later moved to Faulu Microfinance Bank, now part of the Old Mutual Group, where he served for five years in various roles that broadened his leadership and technical competencies.
Beyond his executive responsibilities, Moses has contributed significantly to industry governance. He has served as Treasurer of the Information Systems Audit and Controls Association (ISACA – Kenya Chapter) and as Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee on the Board of Trustees for the Kingdom Bank Staff Pension Scheme. His active involvement in volunteer roles underscores his commitment to advancing professional standards and strengthening institutional frameworks.
Moses holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management (Accounting) from Moi University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA‑K) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). His professional credentials further include Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Anti‑Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), and Certified ISO 31000 Lead Risk Manager and Trainer, among others. He has also completed the Entrepreneurship and Innovation program at the University of Massachusetts, USA, enhancing his strategic acumen and global perspective.
