Jackson Kimathi is a graduate of Moi University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB). He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya. He is currently pursuing certification as a Company Secretary from KASNEB. Jackson is a Member of the Law Society of Kenya and a recipient of the President’s Award, Gold Standard. He is experienced in House Counsel, having started his legal career as a Legal Assistant at Mohammed Muigai Advocates in the year 2011.

Thereafter he moved to Ecobank Kenya Limited as a Legal Officer seconded to the Recoveries Department and in charge of litigation for the Bank, from 2013 to 2018. He has undertaken extensive training and seminars in debt recovery and credit management. He joined the Cooperative Bank of Kenya in November of 2018 as a Legal Manager, where he drove the Bank’s litigation agenda while providing support to the Recoveries Team. Jackson also provided legal support and advice to Cooperative Bank’s subsidiaries such as Kingdom Securities, KCCE, Coop Trust, and Co-op Consultancy. He joined Kingdom Bank in August 2020 as the Head of Legal.
